Good Morning to all,

Just a reminder of things upcoming.

This Sunday evening at 6 p.m., we will have our First Annual Forsan Community Christmas program.  Thanks to Jaynie Branham for heading up this event and all of those who are participating and helping.  I hope that you all will make it a point to come and bring a guest(s).  Plan to stay afterward for supper and dessert.  This (as everything we do) is a great opportunity to reach out to folks, especially during the Christmas season.

Next Wednesday (Dec. 19), we will go caroling in Forsan.  Thanks to Kelli Ballard and the Forsan Baptist Youth for leading us in this outreach event.  Everyone (kids and adults) is encouraged to participate.  We will meet at 6 p.m. for pizza.  Then we will divide into 4 groups and head out.  We will also give a "gift" to each house/family that we visit.

We have a need for volunteers to help with our pre-K and Kindergarten aged children on Wednesday nights.  Right now, we only have 2 boys but they are faithful to come.  God continues to grow us in number and, with that, come the need for help.  If we could get 4 volunteers to take 1 Wednesday per month we would be covered.  These little ones mainly do coloring/watercolor and crafts.  They are not yet old enough to be in RAs or GAs.  Thanks to Shane Sayles and Cindy Graves for working with the RAs and GAs.

If you would like to participate in Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, please let me know.  We will have a public previews on Sunday, January 6, at 6 p.m., and Thursday, January 10, at 6:30 p.m. The class is a 13 week course and will run from Sunday, January 13 through Sunday, April 6.  The classes will be run from 3-5 p.m. so that people who attend churches other than Forsan can make it to their services.  This event is open to all and would be a great gift to give young people that will pay great dividends in their lives.  I have 10 member kits coming and I need to put folks names on them.  When they are spoken for, we will get more.  One kit per family, has a ton of great stuff (check it out at www.daveramsey.com).  Cost for church members is $45, non-church members will be $90 (regular price).  This is another way that the church can be "relevant" in our community.  Dave Ramsey says that, on average, the FPU families pay off $5300 of debt and save $2700 in the first 91 days!  If you listen to the Dave Ramsey Show on KBST, listen for our advertisement and pass the word to anyone who is interested or wants to know more.

Our Big Spring Baptist Association will be sponsoring a youth "lock in" on New Year's eve.  More details when available.

As you can see, God is at work in Forsan and at Forsan Baptist Church.  Pray that He will continue to pour out His Spirit on our community and in our hearts.

Have a blessed and prosperous day!

Derrick

Looking at a point system that will include Bible Reading/memorizing, Church and youth attendance, and participation in youth projects and other "friendly" competitions. Our focus is, "Reach, Teach and Send".  Please pray with us as we move ahead in what God is leading.

Thanks and have an awesome day and week!!
